About Audax
Audax — Latin for “bold”
Audax is a nervous system reset approach to psychological counselling.
Bold isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s the quiet decision to stop coping and start changing how your mind and body carry stress.
Audax supports adults experiencing overwhelm, anxiety, burnout, ADHD-related challenges, or long-standing patterns that feel difficult to shift.
You’re not necessarily in crisis. You’re at a turning point.
The focus is on nervous system regulation and brain health — understanding how your mind responds to pressure so you can move out of survival mode and into clarity, stability, and forward movement.
This is not about fixing you. It’s about helping you work with your brain using practical, evidence-based approaches that translate into real life.
You don’t need to hit rock bottom to begin.
You just need the moment where something inside you is ready to shift.
This is your Audax moment.
About Me
Hi, I’m Elmeret
I’m a counselling psychologist from South Africa, and the founder of Audax — a nervous system reset approach to psychological counselling.
I work with adults who feel overwhelmed, burnt out, anxious, or stuck in patterns they can’t seem to shift, even when they’re trying hard to cope.
Before founding Audax, I worked across academic, clinical, and community settings, supporting students, adults with mental disabilities, and individuals navigating complex life pressures and transitions.
I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Rhodes University and have further training in BWRT® (Level 1), neuroscience-informed approaches, and ADHD coaching. This combination allows me to bridge evidence-based psychology with practical, real-world strategies that help people understand how their brain and nervous system respond to stress.
At Audax, I focus on helping people move out of survival mode and into clarity, stability, and forward movement — in a way that fits their life, values, and strengths.
You don’t need to have everything figured out to begin.
You just need a starting point.

How I Work
I offer professional counselling and neuroscience-informed ADHD coaching, grounded in a nervous system reset approach to psychological support.
Combining evidence-based psychology with practical, brain-based strategies, I help you move out of survival mode and into clarity, resilience, and sustainable change.
Sessions are collaborative and strengths-based, focused on helping you understand how your brain and nervous system respond to stress, so you can work with them rather than against them.
